Vampire Facial Treatments in Commack, NY and Huntington, NY
What is a Vampire Facial?
Vampire Facials are a combination procedure: microdermabrasion and PRP (platelet-rich plasma). PRP containing platelets from the serum of the blood is applied to the skin and stimulates cell turnover, causing an overall glow and shine to the face.
Essentially, your own blood is used to help advance the rejuvenation of your skin cells! There are numerous beneficial growth factors in PRP treatments, such as the boosting of collagen and elastin, the addition of antioxidants, and maximum hydration. Used in partnership with microneedling, the Vampire Facial ensures that this platelet-based procedure is delivered directly into the skin layer as opposed to the topical nature of many facials.
How is the Vampire Facial done?
The treatment starts off with the drawing of blood, similar to what you’d get done at a yearly physical with your doctor. The blood is then run through a centrifuge to separate the platelets, and they are applied to your skin just before your microneedling treatment.
Typical downtime for Vampire Facials is 1-2 days. Mild redness is common after a treatment, and sunscreen is highly recommended. Makeup application after the prcoedure is discouraged.
